From November through April, most of the state runs mild and dry — shorts weather by day, cool and comfortable at night. South Florida and the Gulf Coast stay the warmest, which is why the big 55+ resorts cluster there.
Snowbird resorts are their own kind of community: pickleball and shuffleboard, heated pools, clubhouses, potlucks, live music and organized activities all winter long. Monthly and seasonal rates make a long stay far cheaper than nightly camping.
